| SMART ABOUT SALT |
Robert,
Thank you for your recent application for Professional Designation under the new smart about salt program.
After careful review of the documents you provided, I am pleased to grant TNT Property Maintenance Inc. the smart about salt Professional Designation. Your commitment to make operational improvements, including training staff, and tracking material use is commendable.
As we go forward, the program will be offered across the program and will see some changes, particularly as it relates to insurance premium considerations. Lombard Canada is working closely with us to identify areas that can be strengthened to meet the specific requirements for insurance premium reductions. We anticipate that some changes to the application and reporting forms, including how contractors report staff training, will be necessary. You will be notified of any additional information that may be required in the future for eligibility for insurance premium reductions.
As a Designated contractor, you are entitled to several benefits including use of the smart about salt logo, access to real-time weather data and Region specific forecasts. More information about these benefits will be provided at a later date. Water Services will also promote your status as a Professional Contractor on our website and through regular email updates to those who have expressed interest in the program.
Thank you for your commitment to protecting our water supply and to salt management best practices,
Congratulations,
Shelley Conrad, BA (Hons.), BEd
